Meet the Musicians

Urban Strings Columbus consists of 2 groups - Half Notes and Premier.  Students range in age from 11 to 18.  They attend a variety of schools in Columbus and surrounding areas.

Half Notes
 

Half Notes are our intermediate string musicians. Our Half Note musicians on average have 3-4 years of experience with their instruments.  Students can sight read their pieces and perform in a variety of settings.  During the season they may be asked to perform at least once a month.

Premier
​

Premier Musicians are the most experienced group.  Our musicians have been playing their instruments for over 4 years.  They may be asked to perform as a whole group or a small ensemble several times a month during the season.  They have been featured on television and have performed at weddings.
